Good Morning Everyone!
I want to share some exciting news about our Pilot Grove 7th-12th Grade Band and to express how incredibly proud I am of these students for their dedication and hard work.
Recently, the band participated in two significant events: the CAC Pre-Contest at Community High School and the MSSBDA at Tipton High School. After months of preparation, they received a rating of 2 at both competitions, which is an impressive accomplishment and a true testament to their growth and commitment.
The rating of 2 is a significant achievement, indicating a performance that is above average but with room for continued improvement. More importantly, this rating reflects the teamwork, discipline, and perseverance each student displayed throughout their preparation. Our band members consistently pushed themselves to excel, and their efforts were clearly evident in their performances.
I couldn't be prouder of how far these students have come. They are an incredibly talented group, and their ability to work together, support each other, and strive for excellence in everything they do is inspiring. Their performances at both events were a reflection of not only their musical ability but also their character and determination.
I would like to thank the students for their dedication and the support of their families for making these events possible. It is truly a pleasure to work with such a talented and hardworking group of young musicians.
I look forward to the continued growth and success of this band. We will build on these experiences and continue to strive for excellence in all future performances.
Thank you for your continued support of the Pilot Grove Band program.
From the Band Boom,
Josh Derendinger
