First semester has flown by!  Many Seniors have made plans on where they will be attending next year and others are finalizing their plans.  Scholarships are beginning to open up.  Congratulations to Haley Imhoff for being awarded the Missouri Cattlemen's Scholarship.  Last year we had over $300,000 awarded to the seniors with scholarships.  It takes a great deal of effort to complete scholarships, but the reward for less financial debt makes it worth it!

Several seniors attended an Apprenticeship Event in Moberly last month.  It is exciting all of the paid opportunities our youth have available to them.

Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors attended the College & Career Fair at Pilot Grove on November 22nd.  38 representatives from workforce, college and military attended to share information with our students and those from three other local districts.  It was a huge success and ignited the fire for Juniors and Sophomores to begin exploring their options following graduation.

Sophomores and Juniors will attend a presentation from a representative from State Tech to learn about their programs and requirements for admission.

Juniors will be offered the opportunity for a Job Shadow experience next semester. I will be meeting with them weekly beginning in March.

9-12th grade students will have the opportunity to learn about various careers on February 14th when Mrs. Baer and I host a Career Day for high school students.  Students will have the opportunity to listen to guest speakers as they share about their personal careers.  Our students will be able to learn more about what interests them for their future.
